June 24th, 2005, Scott County MN (Just SW of Twin Cities)

Amy I and left the metro around 2 PM and headed west on HWY 212. We eventually spotted this nice shelf cloud. It had a lot of fast rising motion to it, and was a great way to break Amy into seeing something worthwhile on these crazy adventures. The shelf cloud is moving east from south of Lake Minnetonka.

That blue green hail sky to the north. We managed to only be in hail for about 10 seconds which is a great improvement. :)

Clouds in foreground look to be goinf left while ones fruther away look to be going right. I think it's just illusion...
