May 25th, 2008: Kansas


Shawn Hewitt, Ron Rourquin, Joel Lampe, Ross Breneman, and myself chased central Kansas on this day. We witnessed a tornado that showed as only a swirl of dust on the ground. It was argued that this could have been a straight line wind created vortex (a 'gustnado'), but I think the final word was that it was a tornado. At the end of this chase we headed home to MN, arriving around 6 AM.
