There was an early tornadic cell south of Grand Island that persisted for a long time on this afternoon. I wasn't expecting to go this far west but I ended up here. When I arrived, numerous updrafts were going up. I did catch a brief tornado from a distance which was on the other side of a river:
The drive home consisted of 5 hours in a hurricane of water, arcing perfectly NE to the twin cities.
